SUMMER!

I lost track of where I last virtually walked in Wisconsin, but I’m sure that I have walked enought to at least get to the Illinois border so I will start from there this summer.

Tico and I and Malik took a “field trip” on Friday, June 8.  We walked for an hour and fifteen minutes through the “forest” of a nearby park.  Malik is studying Underground to Canada by Barbara Smucker so we were trying to get the feel of walking through the woods for a distance (?).  He is also walking home from school when weather permits and is keeping track of his walking to see how long it would take to walk from Vicksburg, Mississippi to Amherstburg, Ontario which is what the escaping slaves had to do in the story.

Anyway, now that the weather is nice and school will soon be out I hope to walk more and blog more and of course take more pictures.
